Where to party in Menorca
When it comes to partying they know how to do it properly in Menorca. The island is dotted with fantastic bars and clubs that are perfect for dancing the night away. It depends where you are based for your holiday on Menorca to which ones you are likely to frequent, but here is an overview of some of the best.
Cova d’en Xorio
If you really want to be at the heart of Menorca’s party scene then the only place to head to is the Cova d’en Xorio night club, which is well-known as a buzzing spot throughout the Balearics.
Its position right at the centre of nightlife culture on the island may have something to do with its age. There has been a bar on this spot since 1964 and over the years it has adapted to suit new tastes, meaning it never goes out of fashion.
What is particularly unique about the Cova d’en Xorio is that it is located across a series of terraces and caves. This gives it great inside and outside areas created by nature and enhanced by mankind.
Get the evening off to a bang with cocktails here as the DJs play chilled out tracks and everyone gets captivated by the magnificent sea views. Then dance through ’til dawn as the beats get more pumping and the party really kicks in.
Cova d’en Xorio can be found high up on the cliff at the Cala’n Porter resort on the south coast.
Any self respecting clubber is likely to have heard of Space Ibiza, but since June last year, the world famous nightclub has had a sister establishment in Menorca. Decorated in a modern style within a renovated old building it manages to attract some of the world’s best DJs.
The entertainment is complemented with all the latest technological advances, including LED lighting, banging sound systems and video mapping. Even if you have been to Space Ibiza you will find Space Menorca a totally different experience.
This club is situated in Port de Ciutadella.
Assukar Salsa Club
If you are looking for something a little bit different, then this club is the place for you. Authentically Latin is essence, the party doesn’t start until 10pm and isn’t over until all the hips have stopped swaying at 6am.
Here salsa, merenge and bachata are all danced to the tunes being played by some of South America’s best DJs. With speciality cocktails and a stunning terrace, what more could any party animal ask for?
You will find Assukar behind the Zouck bar in Mao.
If your group has a wide range of tastes when it comes to music, then you need to go somewhere that will cater to all of them. That place is Limoo.bar. Each of its three floors has a different vibe, with electronic music on the ground floor, indie, funk and rumba upstairs and 70s, 80s and 90s tunes on the top level.
Limoo.bar opens at 11pm, so it is always a good idea to get the party started somewhere else then come here when you are ready for a boogie. Keep dancing until 4am and if you still have any energy left you can make your way to one of the establishments that keeps going till six.
